00:22delicate and can't, you know, she loves a roast, she loves to make fun of me.

00:30So, it's fun and easy too.

00:32I mean, it's like with anything with acting, if you, you know, are in a scene with your

00:36partner and you have to pretend, you know, pretend you don't like someone.

00:42The basketball scene is so fun where they're, you know, ripping shots.

01:04I was just absolutely shit-faced.

01:05So, for me, it didn't matter.

01:20And is it true that you didn't audition or didn't want to audition originally for Esther,

01:22No.

01:28So, I auditioned for the Rebecca role.

01:29Right.

01:30Okay.

01:31And that's Adam's ex who ends up being my best friend in the show.

01:37And so, I auditioned for the Rebecca role.

01:38I mean, I was going to audition for the Rebecca role.

01:40And then I went on a hike with Kristen one of the days.

01:43And I was like, oh, I have an audition for your show.

01:46And I think it's for Rebecca.

01:48And she was like, oh, you're way more of an Esther.

01:50Tell them that you're way more of an Esther.

01:51And I was like, okay.

01:52I called my agent.

01:53I was like, hey, Kristen says I'm more of an Esther.

01:56And then that was what I ended up auditioning for.

01:58But, you know, between the two of us, we have so many people we know auditioned and

02:03we're, you know, excited about.

02:06And it's just, it's never, nothing is ever a sure thing, right?

02:11It's like, I sent him my tape and she likes to say that she sort of took herself out of

02:15the decision making because she was like, well, you all know who I think it should be.

02:19But now there's our studio and our network and all the Netflix executives and the showrunners

02:24and everybody has to agree or at least come to a consensus about who this person is going

02:30to be.

02:31And so I'm really happy.

02:32I didn't find out for a month.

02:33Oh, my God.

02:34You had to stew on that for a month?

02:35A month?

02:36Yeah.

02:37And then like, we're hanging out and I can't like say, I'm not going to be like, so, hi,

02:40how are the kids?

02:41Did I get the part?

02:42Like, you just, right.

02:43You can't do it.

02:44It's like, well, this is what it is.

02:45This business is like, you know, people, I know people all over the place.

02:49They know me.

02:50It's when it all comes together in the way that it did here.

02:55Oh, my God.

02:56That's like torture, though.

02:57Oh, it was nuts.

02:58It was absolutely nuts.

02:59But, you know, a lot of the time, I think it was because it was over the holidays.

03:01But I still like, did not hear, did not know.

03:04Oh, it was excruciating, but yeah.
