00:00You know, Bill, I think these two teams have been the class of the conference thus far.

00:07Ohio State, you know, certainly still seething after that loss to Oregon, but a win against

00:13Penn State and Happy Valley would certainly put them back in the three spot or the two

00:16spot I would think.

00:17Yeah, it would open up the path to Indianapolis and you have this situation where I think

00:23the both teams are probably going to go to the college football playoff regardless of

00:27what happens Saturday, but the stakes would be this.

00:31It would be the winners probably going to the Big Ten championship game.

00:34The losers probably going to have to play a road game in the first round of the college

00:39football playoff.

00:41And it's more about the pressure on the coaches here to win a big game.

00:44Ryan Day, two and six against top five teams.

00:47I hear that going to the bus stop here in Columbus every day about that.

00:51That record's basically memorized.

00:53And then James Franklin, one and nine against the Buckeyes.

00:55I'm sure it's the same way in Happy Valley.

00:59I think so too.

01:00Something's got to give in this one, but it hasn't been Penn State.

01:03I mean, they really have had a hard time beating Ohio State and a lot of these games, by the

01:08way, Bill, have not been close.

01:09I mean, you got to go back to 2019 in a one score game, essentially, unless you count

01:15some of these eight point ones.

01:16But I mean, why do you think it's been so dominant?

01:20You know, why do you think Franklin has had such a hard time against OSU?

01:23You would think that one out of five, but not even.

01:26Yeah, it's wild to me that Penn State hasn't won this game since 2016.

01:31And you could make the argument that they shouldn't have won that game.

01:35Urban Meyer brought the field goal team out for a long field goal, it got blocked and

01:39Grant Haley ran it back.

01:40And that's the last time Penn State won this game.

01:42You know, last year, for example, it was Marvin Harrison.

01:46The Buckeyes had him, Penn State didn't.

01:48And in this game, I'm wondering if Jeremiah Smith is that guy.

01:52If you want to criticize Will Howard, I just don't think it's fair.

01:56He's had an 80% completion percentage the last two weeks.

01:59He's been a difference maker.

02:00They're not running the ball well.

02:02And their offensive line has been an issue.

02:04And then for Penn State, is Drew Allard going to play?

02:07If Drew Allard doesn't play in this game, it's really hard for me to pick Penn State

02:11knowing that they're going to have a hard time pushing the ball down the field in the

02:14past game with Bo Pribula, at least more problems against a very good Ohio State defense.

02:20So it's hard for me not to pick the Buckeyes in this one with the understanding that that

02:25offensive line is a real concern on the road, no matter what time they play this game.
