00:03Craig, after that offseason of acquisitions, the Dodgers were a super short favorite entering

00:09a long MLB season in 2024 to win a World Series.

00:13They were the favorites entering the postseason, but struggled against the Padres and were

00:18no longer the favorites throughout that opening round of the NLDS.

00:22But ultimately, this was what was expected for Los Angeles this year to be the best team

00:28in baseball.

00:29And at the end of the day, the Dodgers were.

00:32How did they rise to the occasion and match that expectation in your estimation?

00:36Well, look, we talked about this a little bit yesterday.

00:40If Freddie Freeman wasn't the MVP, Walker Bueller was a huge surprise in the postseason

00:44for the Dodgers.

00:45I mean, this guy, you know, was on the verge of not even knowing where he was going to

00:49be, I think, next season.

00:50I mean, he didn't have a good regular season.

00:52He's been hurt for the last couple of years.

00:54So really epic final there.

00:56Also give credit to Blake Trine, and he came through in some really big moments for them

01:00as well.

01:01Look, I mean, Ben, what's left to say?

01:03I mean, the Dodgers, they're a juggernaut at this point.

01:06I mean, the other owners may complain, but I don't think Major League Baseball would

01:10have an issue if the Dodgers kept going back out to free agency or making trades and signing

01:14some players.

01:15But they're going to be in it from beginning to end, I think, for the next several years.

01:19Now whether they win the World Series still remains to be seen.

01:21But it's also a really good reminder five months from now.

01:25Dodgers win total, fellas, is at 107 going into next year to bet the under.

01:30Because the regular season for that team is not going to matter.

01:34The postseason will stay away from those high win totals.

01:37We always live in these World Series moments and think, oh, they're the best team.

01:40They're going to win 110 games.

01:41Guys, it just doesn't happen like that in baseball.

01:44Teams go through slumps.

01:45Dodgers did this season too.
