00:02And again, sometimes we don't like to have, Joe, like grievances,

00:04like make it onto the air.

00:06But I needed the Yanks to get three runs.

00:08They get the solo home run by Jazz in the second.

00:10Like, wow, the Yankees actually scored a run.

00:13Cody Bellinger tacks on in the fourth inning with another solo home run.

00:16It's two to one, Yankees.

00:17The good vibes are back in the Bronx here.

00:19Maybe we can get a couple more runs and put away this Los Angeles Angels team,

00:23only to find themselves on the end of a three to two loss.

00:26And yes, they did score two runs.

00:27They hit two home runs.

00:28But only three total hits in that entire game.

00:31Multiple chances late with runners on base to sort of get the game tied up

00:35at three to three or take the lead.

00:37They weren't able to do that.

00:38So my question to you at this point is, not from a Yankees perspective,

00:41will they recover?

00:42Like, what actually happened?

00:44Because, Joe, they didn't run into Chris Sale, Spencer Strider,

00:48and Schwellenbach, let's just say, for the Atlanta Braves.

00:50Like, hey, man, you got three really good pitchers on the mound.

00:52You're struggling a little bit.

00:53It makes some sense.

00:54Like, you're getting guys like Kochanowitz out there

00:56and the Tyler Andersons of the world.

00:58Like, bad pitchers that they can't hit now.

01:01What happened to that Yankees offense?

01:04Well, what happened is the Yankees offense collectively together are hitting slumps.

01:10And, listen, it was bound to happen.

01:13They were – you had one guy hitting .400 for the first two months,

01:17two and a half months of the season here, Donnie.

01:18At some point, regression was coming here.

01:22The problem is it's not just – you can survive if just judge is the guy

01:27that's having a hard time going through it.

01:28We've seen this before.

01:30But you can't have Goldschmidt.

01:32You can't have Bellinger.

01:33You can't have pretty much the entire top half of your lineup go hitless every game.

01:39That is not going to cut it here, and that's exactly what's happened.

01:43It's all come – regression has all come for these guys at the same time.

01:48Bellinger – that was the first time we've seen Bellinger actually get on base

01:51in the month of June in forever.

01:53I think he's hitting .200, less than .200.

01:56Goldschmidt's hitting .170 this month.

01:59It all just seems to be happening at the same time.

02:02You know, Donnie, what happens with that is that positive regression will come in,

02:06and they'll all start hitting at the same time and all be well at the Bronx Bombers.
