00:00You've probably seen the movie Menak Prakanon, but did you know that it's based on a true story?

00:05There's even a temple in Prakanon where people go to pray

00:09to Menak hoping that she'll protect them from being drafted into being a soldier.

00:14Mak and Nak were a young couple when she became pregnant.

00:17Mak was drafted leaving her behind.

00:20Tragically, Nak and her baby died during childbirth.

00:23When Mak returned home, he didn't know that his wife had passed.

00:27Nak's ghost greeted him as if nothing had changed.

00:30But one night, Mak witnessed something chilling.

00:34Nak's arms stretched unnaturally long to pick up a fallen lime.

00:38That's when he realized his wife wasn't human anymore.

00:41Terrified, Mak fled to a temple and in the end,

00:44a shaman trapped her spirit in a jar and submerged it in the river.

00:50Yet legend says that Menak's spirit still lingers.

00:53Her love for Mak too powerful to die even in death.
