Diddy's sons were about ready to get into an all-out fistfight with Ray J at a recent Halloween party ... but put their plans on pause thanks to an unexpected hero.

00:30Three of Diddy's sons, his three sons, I should say, Quincy, Justin, and Christian,

00:35went out for a little Halloween fun this weekend in Hollywood,

00:38and it ended up almost in a brawl with Ray J, who was also at this party.

00:44So we've spoken to a lot of people who were at this event,

00:47saw what happened, and say that clearly this was about the sons

00:52thinking that Ray J was speaking out of school,

00:57saying things about the case.

00:58And we told you we had Ray J on the show.

01:01He was one of the first celebrities to really say anything

01:04because it's been dead silence.

01:06They've been very good friends, Diddy and Ray J, over the years.

01:09Very close.

01:10But the thing that's weird about this,

01:12and we'll get into what happened in the fight

01:13because there was another celebrity who got involved,

01:16but I haven't heard Ray J say anything where he's said that Diddy is guilty,

01:22that he's even spilled the beans on anything he may or may not have seen.

01:27We have him on our third installment of the downfall of Diddy on 2B,

01:32which is going to drop November 12th.

01:34And I will tell you, he almost goes the opposite direction.

01:40He talks about the Cassie video, how disappointed he is,

01:43but he has things to say about some of the accusers in this case,

01:46and it wasn't what we're hearing from last night.

01:51Yeah, and people that we've spoken to have even said,

01:53people close to Ray J have said that regarding this incident

01:56that happened over the weekend,

01:58you know, Ray J sees himself very close to Diddy,

02:03and he didn't want to get into this fight.

02:06But the sons, the three of them, got into Ray J's face.

02:10They got really close.

02:10At one point, they like chest bumped each other.

02:13And then from afar, Chris Brown was actually sitting in his car,

02:18getting ready to leave.

02:19This is all going down in an underground parking garage.

02:22And Chris Brown gets out of his car and walks over alone

02:26and de-escalates the situation.

02:28So he kind of separates both groups apart and says,

02:31hey guys, like this is not worth it.

02:33Let's everyone back up.

02:34Let's take a beat.

02:36And that prevented any kind of actual physical fight from going down

02:40from what we've been told.

02:41Do you know what they were saying that Ray J had allegedly said about?

02:45Why were they so upset?

02:49We don't know exactly that yet.

02:50But we do know that the brothers expressed to people in that garage that night

02:55that they were upset about Ray J doing all these press interviews recently.
