The father of the late Kim Porter is speaking out about the now infamous Diddy-Cassie beatdown video – slamming the music mogul for his "despicable" attack on her.

00:00 - Ah, Kim Porter's father clearly has been struggling

00:05 with seeing what he's seen unfold with Diddy,

00:09 or as he calls him still, Puffy.

00:11 You remember, of course, Kim Porter was with Diddy

00:15 for a long time, they had three kids together.

00:17 - She died of pneumonia.

00:18 - And she died of pneumonia, and really,

00:21 her father, Jake Porter, has not really said

00:23 a lot about Diddy since then.

00:25 They were close, the families were very close,

00:28 but seeing the video of the beating of Cassie--

00:32 - And then projecting it onto what may have happened

00:34 in Diddy's relationship with Kim,

00:37 which is clearly what he must be thinking about.

00:39 - What he's thinking, exactly,

00:40 what possibly had transpired with my daughter.

00:45 So he spoke out about this, finally.

00:47 He had a conversation, interview with Rolling Stone,

00:50 he said, "I didn't know he could stoop that low.

00:52 "I imagine it surprised a lot of people.

00:54 "I wouldn't even do a dog like that.

00:56 "My heart goes out to Cassie.

00:58 "I think he was a very jealous person.

01:01 "They both loved each other, Kim's love was legitimate.

01:03 "Puffy's love, I don't know what he calls love.

01:07 "You know what I mean?

01:08 "I really don't think he has any idea what love is."

01:12 - So he's certainly not embracing him.

01:13 - No.

01:14 - He's not accusing him of doing to Kim

01:17 what Diddy did to Cassie.

01:20 But the intimation is there.

01:21 - Yeah, that he's just wondering what was going on.

01:24 - I think he almost feels personally wounded

01:26 seeing the video with Cassie,

01:29 thinking that it might have happened to his own daughter,

01:30 but also this is somebody that he knew

01:32 that was sort of a member of his family

01:33 that is the father of his grandchildren.

01:35 And I think he feels a personal wound

01:38 based on that video, as a lot of people do.

01:41 - Yeah, and it almost makes me think, too,

01:44 that he supported Diddy with all the rumors swirling around

01:47 because it feels like he's so disappointed and heartbroken

01:52 that you wonder, maybe it opened his eyes

01:54 when he looked at this and said, "Oh my God."

01:56 I know on Friday, Howard University Institution

02:00 that Diddy's had a very close relationship with,

02:02 he attended briefly at the beginning of his college career

02:07 and then went on to do what he did in music.

02:09 But they withdrew an honorary degree

02:12 that he'd been given on Friday.

02:14 So he's in trouble.

02:17 I mean, there is a grand jury

02:20 that is looking into these sex trafficking,

02:23 this human trafficking, the allegations,

02:26 and the federal investigation.

02:28 And I gotta tell you, when a federal grand jury is convened

02:32 and some of these alleged victims come in,

02:35 it is not hard for feds to get an indictment

02:38 because remember, the defendant,

02:39 or the potential defendant, in this case, Diddy,

02:42 doesn't have the ability to go in

02:44 and present any evidence to rebut what was said.

02:48 So given what is going on with the feds,

02:51 it would not be shocking at all if he gets indicted.

02:59 And I just think that what Kim Porter's father said,

03:03 it made me realize just how difficult it is

03:06 for people to believe that someone that they knew and loved

03:10 could be capable of these types of things.

03:12 And it's something that victims struggle with.

03:15 I'm sure that Cassie had to be very courageous

03:19 to come forward and saying the things that she said

03:21 based on the fact that Diddy is so powerful

03:24 and he convinced so many people that he was nothing

03:27 of the sort that she mentioned

03:28 in those initial court documents.

03:31 - I know you think I'm just doing this to promote,

03:33 but I'm not.

03:34 We've got an OJ Simpson documentary dropping on Tubi

03:37 on Wednesday on the 30th anniversary of the murders.

03:41 And in that documentary,

03:42 one of the people that I spoke with,

03:44 she says that people around OJ,

03:49 it was difficult, they had to fall out of love with him

03:52 because he had been so charming on the outside

03:55 and charismatic and all.

03:57 - Once they saw all the evidence.

03:58 - And I'm not comparing the murders to this,

04:01 but falling out of love with somebody

04:04 is a very jarring thing.

04:05 And I kind of feel it here.

04:07 - Yeah. - You know what I mean?

04:08 - That's exactly what's happening.
