00:00So I'm Liam Howes and I'm Liam Munns and tell us a bit more about what's happening today.

00:28So it's the opening of our brand new shop Minitown.

00:31And tell us more about Minitown, how has Minitown come to be?

00:35So I don't know if people know but me and Liam run Mini Ravers all around the country

00:39and we decided, well we've been talking about it a long time haven't we?

00:44I think we wanted a, I mean Mini Ravers travels all over the country and it's tiring but we

00:49love it.

00:50But at the same time we thought you know what, we're getting on a bit, let's have a 9-5 job.

00:55And obviously we love kids, we've both got kids and we know Waterloo was crying out for

00:59something like this so all the idea came from that and here we are.

01:05We saw the regeneration scheme come up from Havant Borough Council so we were very lucky

01:11to get on board with them and you know with a lot of help from them, arise Minitown.

01:17Awesome and how's today gone?

01:18Today's the grand opening, obviously we've had the Mayor here, Bluey's inside, everyone

01:22seems to be having a great time.

01:24You happy with the reception?

01:25Everyone seems to be smiling and happy so yeah.

01:30Excellent.

01:31Yeah a lot to learn along the way but we'll, I mean within 45 minutes of being open we've

01:35picked up quite a lot already.

01:36Yeah I can imagine.

01:37Yeah.

01:38And what are the aspirations moving forward?

01:39Is this sort of a one off or do you think there'll be more Minitowns elsewhere?

01:43I mean if we're going to base it on what we've done with Mini Ravers, we started it in Portsmouth

01:47and now we're in 45 cities across the country.

01:49I don't think we're going to go that extreme because I don't think I can deal with that

01:52but yeah maybe one or two more.

01:53I don't know.

01:54We'll see how it goes.

01:56Obviously we love the area in general, we'll see, there's a gap in the market, we'll see

01:57what we can do but they're clearly popular and you know it's great for the state, it's

01:58great for Waterloo to have something like this.

03:07We've obviously got Minitown opening but how is this more significant for the bigger

03:21picture of the regeneration of Waterlooville?

03:22Yes this is significant.

03:23We've had a vacant shop start up scheme where different businesses have been getting money

03:24from Havant Borough Council to start to increase the footfall here in Waterlooville.

03:25So this is the second of quite a number of start ups.

03:26More will happen.

03:27So we're very excited because this is to get more people to come and visit to our youth

03:28centres.

03:29The idea.
