00:00Hi, I'm Alison Smith. I'm the CEO of the Local Government Association of Queensland.

00:05We're the pink body for every council across Queensland and this week we've had all 77

00:10come to Brisbane for their annual conference. It's a really big event for them because they

00:15bring all their priority issues and they debate them on the conference floor and then what

00:20passes then comes to the LGAQ to do our best to deliver for councils.

00:26Matt Burnett here, Mayor of the Gladstone Regional Council. It's fantastic to be elected as the LGAQ

00:31President here at the 128th annual conference. We need to speak together as a united team, a united

00:36voice for all Queenslanders so we can get a fairer share of funding from the State and Federal Governments.
