Some weather fronts will skirt far northern areas, causing some strong winds and showers in the north of Scotland and the Western Isles. In the south, some dense fog will affect many areas, likely affecting driving conditions until late morning. Elsewhere, it will be cloudy across much of the UK, with some sunny spells later on in the south and the Central Belt of Scotland. A band of rain is expected to move into Northern Ireland and western Scotland later on Wednesday night.
