00:00Welcome back to another Minetest mod review. Today we are looking at the

00:04Waystone mod and as you can see here on the screen it adds a new ore, the

00:12Waystone itself of course, and then there's a scroll which I'm just gonna

00:19steal an inventory real quick here. So let's let's deal with the first things

00:23first. So you'll find this Waystone ore underground. It's usually where you find

00:30ores. I am in creative so uh yeah I'm only gonna get one. One of these little guys

00:39here but okay. Yeah negative 20 to negative 1,000 I believe is where you

00:44will find the Waystone and then or I'm sorry you'll find the Astral. Use Astral

00:50to craft Waystone. So the Waystone is crafted from any kind of stone and an

01:01Astral shard. Can we call it a shard? It's not not called a shard but I'm

01:08gonna call it a shard and then we have a scroll which is required to pretty much

01:14use the Waystone. So I have placed one here in preparation. I haven't actually

01:19done this yet so I'm not sure. Do we right-click? No so we left-click. Oh we

01:25can name the scroll. Sweet! So I'm gonna call this random cave because why not

01:32right? It's a random cave. Okay okay it does put the name here scroll random

01:42cave so that's helpful and then can I teleport to zero comma zero comma zero? I

01:48don't because I don't have the teleport command. Okay well we'll fix that really

01:52quick. Grant me teleport. Actually I can just do this right?

01:57Yep. I'm in a body of water which is just grand and it's it's nighttime which is

02:04also grand. Do I have flyer fast? No I don't. Of course I don't because why

02:09would I need that? Okay and I put the scroll into a slot of inventory where I

02:12can't even reach it. That's pretty smart. Okay so we have the scroll here. I'm going to go

02:18ahead and punch with it and bada-boom bada-bing I am returned to the waystone.

02:23I know that's exactly what we all expected. I mean what else would happen?

02:29Can I can I grab stack? Okay they are stackable. Nice. So I'm gonna name this

02:35one again to cave. Sweet and that should pull it into it.

02:49Interesting. So I just made a whole stack of them that are all going to the same

02:55place. It's not really what I wanted to do. I am surprised that they are stackable.

03:04Also I am just deleting them en masse right there. Okay um we're gonna put this

03:13one owned by single-player. See how to use it on the wiki. Oh wow.

03:19Yeah well I don't I don't need that but thanks anyways I suppose. I only actually

03:26wanted to do one scroll and we're just gonna call this one some random text

03:32because that's good enough for our test purposes here. And then we're gonna take

03:40this one and we're gonna call this test but then we're going to reuse the scroll.

03:46Oh wait wait wait. Okay so it is called scroll okay or it's called test. So we're

03:53gonna go ahead and call it gravel because after all it's on gravel. Okay

03:59and then we'll open inventory and now it says gravel. Okay so it looks like the

04:03scrolls can be renamed. I don't know why I just pulled it out of that inventory

04:07slot because I actually need it in that slot to test this theory. Alright so now

04:11we should be teleporting to this. We did and we actually end up and so can I walk

04:18through it? I cannot. You end up inside of it but you are able to walk out of it.

04:24Well that's good because you'd kind of be stuck otherwise. I'm assuming okay

04:38yep breakable. Again I'm in creative so I'm not 100% sure but I'm assuming it

04:43just drops itself. I see no reason why it wouldn't be doing that. Did we look at

04:47the recipe for the scroll? I feel like we did. Yeah it was paper sticks and the

04:51astral shard and then same for the weight the way stone itself and then

04:58obviously this is obtained via crafting. I was hoping to actually find some that

05:09were naturally occurring but last was not to be the case. No yeah so it just

05:18says who it's owned by but I can't name it. So the way stone itself can't have a

05:24name but the scroll gets a name and then again the scroll is consumed when you

05:29return to it. I'm not positive on the rarity of this. Let me just take a quick

05:36peek. Okay so the registration here says we're using a Perlin noise. No never

05:46mind. It's a scatter and it's in group stone and a 10 by 10 by 10 cuboid. The

05:56cluster number of ores is 5. Cluster size is 3. I don't actually know what any of

06:00that means or how it compares to any other ore. You'll notice here I kind of

06:06have this big cave I dug under around to find and did not find a single piece of

06:12that ore existing and now they do glow a little bit but I have had mixed results

06:20doing that in on rather nodes during map gen. The nodes themselves will appear

06:30illuminated I guess would be the correct term but they don't shine the light or

06:36propagate the light. Propagate would be the more correct term. They don't

06:39propagate the light to the surrounding nodes so it'll be just it will light up

06:44but I won't actually be lighting anything up so they should be kind of

06:51easy-ish to find in the walls of a big cave and yeah as you can see here not

06:59not really finding any but I'm sure that's just due to the specific seed I

07:08am using and the specific location. Obviously they do exist someplace. Yeah I

07:16think that wraps everything up here. I should really start mentioning

07:23compatibility on these mods so this one is compatible with my test game and

07:29should also be compatible with the mineclone families seeing as how the

07:38ore here is created in groupstone, mcl corestone and mcl deepslate. So I

07:46don't know what those are but they are set to generate in the mineclone family

07:52and theoretically anything that is using my test game as a base or actually just

07:58using default as a base this should work in just fine as well as this is the

08:03only newly created item map gen wise anyways and everything else is using

08:09items out of other mods so yeah there you go. If you are interested you can

08:14find it in the in-game content browser or of course you can always download and
