00:15After a Filipino was executed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

00:20because of a murder case,

00:22a Filipino was on the death row.

00:24This is according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

00:28According to the DFA, 83 Filipinos are on death row in other countries

00:33where most of them are involved in illegal drugs and theft.

00:37Of these, 56 are in Malaysia,

00:40while others are in the United Arab Emirates,

00:43Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia,

00:46Sri Lanka, China, Vietnam, USA, Japan, and Brunei.

00:51Because of this, the OFW party list

00:55has strengthened diplomatic ties and bilateral labor agreements in other countries

01:00to protect the OFWs.

01:03We are pushing for a very good legal assistance for them.

01:08We are also forcing them to know

01:11that while they are waiting for their verdict cases,

01:16they will have a good life in their prison.

01:19Just last week,

01:2147 Filipinos and 2 defendants arrived at IA Terminal 1.

01:26They are the people who availed of the voluntary repatriation program of the government

01:32after being trapped in Lebanon.

01:34In total, 525 OFWs and 30 defendants returned to the Philippines from Lebanon.
