00:00In today's news, Senate President Francis Cheese Escudero

00:05condemned President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.'s

00:08violation of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning or ARAL program law.

00:14Under the new law, teachers are required to tutor

00:18targeted learners from Kindergarten to Grade 10.

00:22The aforementioned program also includes all important learning competencies

00:26under the K-12 Basic Education.

00:30According to Escudero, the program will be of great help,

00:33particularly to learners who cannot read properly

00:38and are having a hard time with mathematics and science.

00:41It will also give learners a bright future.

00:45The Senate President also condemned the importance of basic education

00:50as a hindrance to the future opportunities for young people.

00:55Meanwhile, the Coordination of the Education Department

00:59and other government agencies are considering the implementation of the new law.
