Trying M&S Christmas food

We visited the Shoreham #M&S branch to pick up some festive treats to try

00:04where I'm going in store to have a look at the festive range. They've got 450

00:10festive products for 2024 and they kindly invited me along to pick up a

00:15couple which I'm gonna take home and try later. So come with me in store and we'll

00:19see what they've got.

01:00Hi again everyone, so I'm back from M&S. I

01:29had a really successful trip there. In fact there was so much to choose from it

01:33was really hard to know what to bring home and try so I selected a few

01:37products. Lots of them have kind of a sweet and kind of spicy kind of

01:42kick together. The first of those I'm gonna try is Hot Honey Caramel Popcorn

01:47which is a mixture of caramelised honey popcorn with cayenne pepper and milk

01:52chocolate covered honeycomb pieces. Don't worry M&S beautifully packaged

01:56everything but just so you don't have to go through the agony of me trying to

01:59open things on camera I've pre-opened this. Yeah and I love sweet and salty

02:04kind of combos. I'm hoping this is going to be as delicious as it looks. Let's see if I can get a little chocolate piece as well as popcorn.

02:15Here we go.

02:24That's so delicious, really Moorish and you get the just a tiny little kick of

02:30pepper coming through but it's not so spicy that kids couldn't try it too.

02:34That's really good I'm definitely gonna go back and get some more of that one.

02:39I also thought kids would like as well this one the Cranberry Jaffa Cakes.

02:44Jaffa Cakes are a massive favourite in our house and I love the original orange M&S

02:49ones but I've never tried cranberry flavoured so they're a little bit different.

02:55They've got kind of a chocolate sponge instead. Let's give it a whirl.

03:02Mmm that's really nice. The fruit's so tangy.

03:08Mmm yeah you can tell it's got cranberry in it but it's still got that kind of

03:14classic Jaffa Cake feel. Love it. Next one, just a kind of classic flavour of maple bacon for Christmas.

03:24It's a crisp combo mix. I can almost guarantee I'm going to love it. Let's give it a try.

03:31Go for a wheel.

03:36Mmm it's really nice. It's almost a bit barbeque-y.

03:43But I love it. They're so crunchy as well.

03:46I'm gonna put them down before I just stand here and eat them all and forget that I'm filming.

03:51Other things I picked up as well are these lovely peppermint bark tin of.

03:56It's really nicely decorated so you make a great Christmas gift.

03:59This is peppermint flavoured dark and white chocolate topped with candy cane pieces.

04:04That one was £10 for the box.

04:07Also, this one is the original Very Jelly Munch which just looks brilliant for the whole family.

04:16It's got a mixture of stuff in from jelly beans, fruit flavoured jellies, sugar coated milk chocolate,

04:22popping candy milk chocolate caramel clusters, white chocolate covered popcorn and milk chocolate covered pretzels.

04:28I mean, I just know that's going to be absolutely delicious.

04:31That was £10 for a tin but it feels really weighty so it feels like that's pretty good value.

04:36Also, you cannot go wrong with mince pies. M&S do the best ones in my opinion.

04:42And I love puff pastry mince pies. These ones are best if you heat them up and then eat them.

04:47You could always serve them with a bit of clotted cream or custard maybe, which would be delicious.

04:54And then lastly, I got this sugar and spice munch mix.

04:59And that's another kind of mixture of sort of slightly sweet flavours and salty stuff as well.

05:06So it's got crispy coated peanuts, salted corn chew for chilli seasoning, honey caramelised roasted almonds,

05:16milk chocolate coated raisins and salted pretzel sticks.

05:20So that sounds absolutely delicious. And that's just a tiny sampling of everything they've got in store.

05:26There was so much to choose from. Christmas drinks, chocolate selection boxes.

05:31They even had a lovely little chocolate box that kind of snowed and it had truffles in the bottom.

05:36So everything was just amazing. And even though it's a little while until the festive season really kicks off with a bang,

05:43it was just really nice getting like a head start on some of my Christmas kind of wish lists for what we're going to eat over the festive season.

05:50So I definitely recommend you go down and take a little look in store.

05:54I popped to the Shoreham Holmbush store, but Worthing nearby will also stock the same kind of treats.
