00:00We probably thought our next game inside the LA Memorial Coliseum between USC and

00:08number four Penn State also had the potential of being a top 15 or top 10

00:14tilt but the Trojans one of those seven teams ranked on the road last week

00:19laying more than a touchdown that also found the fate of seven teams that were

00:24ranked last weekend and were upset USC losing to Minnesota 24-17 on the road in

00:31the Twin Cities and Kev Penn State despite a very slow offensive start does

00:35get a victory at home over UCLA albeit not a cover in fact the Nittany Lions

00:41who were a great cover team entering this year as a favored side just two and

00:46three against the spread and yet laying points on the road in downtown LA how do

00:51you see the matchup between USC and Penn State so preseason I thought that

00:55the Trojans were in a good spot here again I felt that these LA teams could

00:58have a big advantage when they were welcoming in some of these big ten

01:02opponents but as I've watched this year play out I can't get to the Trojans

01:06despite catching points now I wouldn't like with Penn State again I think it's

01:09a weird spot I think having to travel to the west coast it is new and we know

01:14that Penn State when they step up in competition has struggled but is USC a

01:19step up in competition because look they beat LSU in week number one that at

01:24this point now feels like a year ago and the game where it was close with

01:30Michigan doesn't look as great in the limelight anymore as the Wolverines are

01:34about to have a significantly down season Wisconsin they won by 17 and it

01:41deserved them by 17 they were down double digits at the break you lose to

01:44Minnesota all of a sudden now we're looking at this USC team and men they

01:48don't look the level they really don't but I couldn't get to the Penn State

01:52line either I could get to this over though at 50 and a half I think we're

01:57way too light here on this listed number you just poke around what we've seen

02:03from other comparable spots here this number is only two points higher than

02:08when Penn State played Illinois like I know Altmire's had a good year

02:11Illinois and USC come on I mean what are we even talking about here this is 17

02:16points shorter than when we saw that week one game between USC and LSU I like

02:21points here this is for both of these teams I think the best opponent they've

02:26played up until this point which means both of these defenses will be tested

02:30you might have sold me on the over because I think it's a difficult cap to

02:34Kevin's point in regards to back and whether Penn State or USC for me it does

02:38come down to the quarterbacks and I understand Miller Moss has been a little

02:41bit inconsistent right you're 64% nine touchdowns four interceptions two of

02:46them came last week against Minnesota cost his team the game but I'm still not

02:51sold on Drew Aller big picture they only rushed for 85 yards last week against a

02:56good you know maybe slightly above average UCLA front seven they struggled

03:02and here's the thing too that I don't like Penn State Ben they've been playing

03:05down to the level of competition Bowling Green they trailed 24 to 20 at the end

03:10they went toe-to-toe with Illinois is a 17 and a half 18 point favorite they

03:14win by 14 they win but don't cover against UCLA now they go on the road

03:19this is you see USC Super Bowl it's really the biggest game for James

03:23Franklin and and and Lincoln Riley this year and then maybe over the past few

03:28seasons Lincoln gets the victory over LSU this year you could say that's his

03:32biggest win in in the USC as a whole I mean where is it I don't see no Pac-12

03:38championship no college football playoff appearance and I'll just say this I know

03:42the front sevens been bad for USC 26% third down defense I think that carries

03:48well and I think they have a speed advantage give me USC in the upset
