Litter: Smithdown residents speak out

The 'nuisance behaviour' which is blighting your local area. Smithdown residents tell us about the litter problem in the area.

00:00The litter. The litter's dreadful. These bins that were standing by here should be behind the wall.

00:11It doesn't happen. Broken glass. I walk a little dog for my neighbour. Broken glass all over the floor.

00:18There is a lot of litter on the streets. That's always been a nuisance.

00:22I realise that it's a problem of the wind as well, but also people need to be more responsible, not littering, I think.

00:33You're constantly watching for broken glass once the students come back.

00:40I know they bring a lot of money to the area and they are lovely children in general.

00:46We've had some lovely students.

00:49It looks unpleasant and it doesn't paint a nice picture of the people in the area. It could look very nice otherwise.
