00:00The Israeli military made the official announcement on Saturday morning, saying it killed Hezbollah

00:05leader Hassan Nasrallah in Friday's massive attack on Beirut.

00:09The IDF said it conducted a targeted strike on the group's central headquarters, which

00:13it says were located under a residential building in a southern suburb of the capital.

00:19We haven't exhausted all our means. Let me make that very clear. We still have many tools

00:24at our disposal. This message is simple. We will know how to reach anyone who harms Israel's

00:30citizens in the north, south and further afield.

00:35Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its leader, saying it would continue its battle against

00:39Israel. The Supreme Leader of Iran, meanwhile, that provides strong backing to Hezbollah,

00:43has emphasised that all resistance forces in the region would stand with the group.

00:48In a statement, the Israeli military says other commanders were also killed in Friday's

00:52attack, including Ali Karakeh, the commander of Hezbollah's southern front.

00:59In the south of Beirut, daylight has revealed a night of destruction, with entire families

01:03waking up amongst the rubble. Thousands of people slept on the street after being forced

01:08to evacuate their homes.

01:12We had a very difficult night and many people fled the neighbourhood. Missiles rained down

01:18on our house.

01:21Everything in this country has become impossible. I don't know what to do.

01:26In the south, meanwhile, cross-border strikes between Israel and Lebanon are still ongoing.
