00:00We obviously got news of the Chicago Sky firing their head coach and there's

00:08been a lot a lot of conversation around well how players feel how other coaches

00:13are on the league feel and how fans feel about this move. Teresa Witherspoon

00:17being let go was the last thing that we saw happening because a lot of people

00:21are expecting that it wasn't the coach it wasn't how the coach was running this

00:24team her players supported her you've seen a lot of the outspoken outcry

00:27across all social media platforms more importantly the conversation has to

00:31start at the top did they make the right moves that they have to help this team

00:35thrive and were they actually on board with having a rookie try to drive their

00:38entire team and season so the outrage across the board being that they feel

00:42like this was an unfair firing for Witherspoon and I mean that's something

00:46else you guys can chat with us when it comes to social media because for the

00:50most part nobody was expecting the sky to have this complete turnaround maybe

00:53they were being too compared to what was going on for the fever but Angel Reese

00:56had some words and some heartbreak when it came to the firing of her head coach

01:00I'll read you with this Angel Reese takes a Twitter to say that she is

01:05heartbroken literally at a loss for words knowing what this woman has meant

01:08to me in such a pivotal point in my life she was the only person that believed in

01:11me the one person that trusted me many don't know even what it's like to be a

01:15black woman in sports when nobody believes in you you had a tough job all

01:18the crazy circumstances that we went through this year and when your back was

01:21against the wall you always believed I came to Chicago because of you you were

01:27an unsung hero in my life we built a relationship in a short amount of time

01:30that will last forever I'll never question why God brings people into my

01:34life and takes them away from me in the capacity that I need them but I've

01:37always believed everyone is in your life for a reason and a season you were the

01:41best reason and season you didn't deserve this but I can't thank you

01:44enough I love you teaspoon and this is just one of many heartfelt and

01:49heart-pouring messages that went across the socials the minute that this news

01:52got released so it's something that a lot of people do not agree with I will

01:56say I do not think this was a head coaching issue in terms of the lack of

01:59success that the Chicago Sky had their moments of burst spoke volume they did

02:03have to the buy-in for the players and how the players wanted to play not only

02:06with each other and for each other but most importantly for Witherspoon so

02:10we'll see what comes in the next coming days or weeks as the WNBA season rounds
