OpenAI's CEO only uses 2 types of pens to take notes

00:01There's all these fancy notebooks in the world.

00:03You don't want those.

00:04You definitely want a spiral notebook,

00:05because one thing that's important

00:07is you can rip pages out frequently.

00:09And you also want it to lie flat and open on the table.

00:12And if you open pages, you want them to be able to lay

00:16like this, whatever.

00:17You definitely want to be able to rip pages out.

00:19I'm a big believer of I take a bunch of notes,

00:22and then I clearly rip them out so I

00:24can look at multiple pages at the same time.

00:26And I can crumple them up and throw them on the floor,

00:29and then I'm done when our house cleaner comes in

00:31on a whatever.

00:33There's just these pile of crumpled papers

00:35that I'm typing my notes in or whatever on the floor.

00:38You definitely want a kind of paper

00:41that is good to write on, which is a feel thing,

00:44but most paper is terrible to write on.

00:47You want a hard front and back to the notepad.

00:51And you also want something that can fit in a pocket.

00:53I was about to say that.

00:54I think the Uniball Micro 0.5 pen is the best pen overall.

01:01But the Muji 0.36 or 0.37 in dark blue ink

01:06is a very nice pen for other reasons.

01:08So those are the two I would use.

01:10But I think this kind of notebook and one of those two

01:13pens is the right answer.
