00:00Pretty clear and cut in terms of what we have in the American

00:07League. The Yankees finally clinching that American League

00:10East. Yesterday, they have a game advantage over the

00:14Cleveland Guardians for what is the top spot in the National

00:18League. Is there still more to play for there? Both of those

00:21top two teams, New York and Cleveland, have already earned

00:25that opening round by in front of the Houston Astros. The

00:29Mariners were eliminated yesterday and Joe, we thought

00:32this final weekend would be insane in terms of the American

00:35League playoff picture. Could the Royals stop the bleeding?

00:38Could the Twins end their slide and would the Tigers just keep

00:41on winning games? Well, before we even get to the weekend, we

00:45know the Twins continue to struggle. They lost a series

00:49against Miami at home in the midweek. Unfathomable. Frankly,

00:54they've lost thirteen of their last nineteen. They are one

00:56loss away from being eliminated. They are one win

01:00away from either the Royals or the Tigers or the Royals and

01:04the Tigers from making it out or those two teams clinching an

01:08American League playoff berth and the Twins already planning

01:11out their winter vacations. So, here is what we have left

01:16standing this weekend. The O's go to Minneapolis against the

01:22Twins. Again, Baltimore pretty set. They're going to be the

01:25top seed in the American League wild card. They don't need a

01:28ton. Do they want to play better baseball as their sub

01:31500 in September and since the all-star break, you would say,

01:34yeah, build that momentum but outside of what they need

01:37postseason-wise, not a ton there. We talked about the

01:41Royals and the Braves. KC rode underdog tonight in Atlanta.

01:45Both teams need some wins here in this final weekend. The

01:48Tigers get the White Sox. Chicago doing everything they

01:51can, Joe, to avoid loss 121 to not become the worst team in

01:56modern history in major league baseball. The Yankees host the

02:00Pirates. The Guardians host the Astros still. Some

02:04postseason positioning to determine they are at the top.

02:08Yeah, I mean, let's face it. It's all but over here, Ben

02:11because I mean, the Twins would need to sweep the Orioles and

02:14then have either Kansas City or Detroit lose all three of their

02:19remaining games to have even a shot at the wild card. So, you

02:23know, the the drama might come to a close here as we head into

02:27the weekend where, you know, let's say the Twins lose here

02:30tonight and the Royals and Tigers win. It's it's ball game

02:33over and then at that point, Ben, it's going to make Saturday

02:35and Sunday very lackluster as far as drama and motivation for

02:41those teams but if by some miracle that the White Sox can

02:48continue their winning streak, they only need one of those

02:51teams to actually lose Kansas City and Detroit but they have

02:54to handle business. So, this will I think as far as drama

02:58goes maybe be the biggest night in the American League over the

03:01next three days and it starts with the Twins here tonight

03:06handling business against Baltimore who to your point has

03:09really not a whole heck of a lot going on here to prove.
