00:15Questions were raised about Acorda's possible connections to Pogos after photos of him with

00:19Chinese businessman Tony Yang surfaced during a Senate inquiry.

00:23Yang, brother of former presidential advisor Michael Yang, has been suspected of shady

00:27activities and was arrested last week.

00:29During the hearing, Yang said he knew Acorda since the latter served as Northern Mindanao

00:33Regional Police Chief.

00:35Cagayan de Oro, where most of Yang's businesses are located, was under Acorda's jurisdiction.

00:40There was also talk that a former PNP chief allegedly aided dismissed Bambantarlak Mayor

00:45Alice Guo in escaping.

00:47The ex-PNP chief was not named, but Acorda also denies any involvement with Guo.
