00:08or other materials that are not copyrighted from the owner of the original content.

00:13This is often done through torrent sites, streaming platforms that are not licensed,

00:19and sometimes through social media posts that do not have permission and proper credits.

00:25But did you know that in the eyes of many of us,

00:29a simple sharing of a file can lead to a legal punishment?

00:33Not only that, it can also bring viruses or malware

00:37that put our personal information at risk.

00:41How can we avoid these situations?

00:44Let's talk about it here in MIL 101.

00:48Here are some information about digital piracy and sharing of pirated contents

00:57and why we should not just share or consume it.

01:03Let's first know what pirated content is.

01:06These are movies, shows, or songs that were taken and shared without permission.

01:15It is often seen on websites and social media platforms.

01:20The question is, why is it dangerous to share and watch pirated content?

01:27First, many people lose their income or lose money,

01:32especially those who make content such as directors, actors, and musicians.

01:39We should support them.

01:41In every movie or show that we watch that is free from illegal sites,

01:46their livelihood is at risk.
