Should we renationalise the railways?

We ask the people of Newport whether they think Labour’s plan to renationalise the railways would make sense, or if they think it wouldn’t make any difference.

00:35Since privatisation, the cost of everything in terms of like the railway services skyrocketed

00:41and it cost me like nearly £100 just to get across to London. I don't think that's right.

00:46So yes, I'm absolutely in favour of it being renationalised.

00:50Well, when I remember, because I'm old enough to remember the old railways, I don't think

00:56it'll be any better whatsoever. I think it'll be just as bad.
