00:00Allah Created Human Beings in Difficulty

00:07Allah created human beings in difficulty.

00:10And He created human beings in heavy burden.

00:13لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِى كَبَدْ

00:15We certainly created the human being

00:17buried under heavy loads,

00:19exhaustive labor.

00:21Emotionally you're struggling,

00:23physically you're taxed, you're struggling,

00:26health-wise you may be struggling,

00:27financially you may be struggling

00:29because of people you may be struggling.

00:31This life, Allah designed it to be difficult.

00:34Sometimes you look at other people and you say,

00:37they have it so much easier than I do.

00:39But you don't know what other difficulties

00:41Allah gave them that are invisible from you.

00:43Everyone has difficulties,

00:45everyone has challenges.

00:47You would think for example

00:48that the Pharaoh, Firaun, had kingdom, empire,

00:52he had the world's largest army at the time,

00:55he had everything you could want,

00:56all the wealth you could want,

00:57all the power you could want,

00:58all the status you could want,

00:59he has everything.

01:01And how come he has everything

01:02and the believers have nothing?

01:03And yet Allah describes about him

01:05that he lived in a state of fear.

01:08وَنُرِيَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا مَا كَانُوا يَحْذَرُونَ

01:12وَكَانُوا يَحْذَرُونَ

01:13They used to live in a state of fear.

01:14He used to get nightmares at night,

01:16he couldn't find peace.

01:18Sometimes people have material things

01:19but they don't have peace.

01:21Sometimes people have physical health

01:23but they don't have mental health,

01:25they don't have emotional health.

01:26So all human beings were put

01:28in a state of struggle

01:29and that's believers and non-believers.

01:32So the first thing that I want to get across

01:34to all of you and remind myself of,

01:36is because we are believers,

01:39that does not mean our problems disappear.

01:42It's not like because I'm a believer,

01:44I'm not going to be sad.

01:46Or because I'm a believer,

01:47I'm not going to experience anxiety.

01:50Or I'm not going to have family problems.

01:52Or I'm not going to have financial problems

01:53or health problems or whatever else.

01:55Belief, our faith in Allah,

01:57our relationship with Allah

01:58is not there to solve our problems.

02:01It's not there to get rid of the people in our life

02:03that are causing us trouble.

02:05That's not the purpose of our faith.

02:07If that was the case,

02:08then the Prophets, a.s.w.,

02:10who had the most close connection with Allah,

02:13would have had the easiest life.

02:16They would deserve,

02:17because they would make du'a,

02:18all their problems would disappear.

02:19And if you study the Prophets,

02:21the closest people to Allah a.s.w.,

02:23they have the hardest life.

02:25They have the toughest life.

02:26And the toughest life comes to them,

02:28not even from some far away enemies,

02:30it comes to them from their own families.

02:32In other words, it comes to them from people

02:34they can't even escape.

02:35They're with them every day.

02:36They're with them their whole lives.

02:38And they can't escape those problems.

02:40So the idea that human beings are created

02:43and were placed in a situation

02:44where they're going to struggle,

02:46they're going to have to deal

02:47with very difficult circumstances,

02:49very difficult situations and even people,

02:51they're going to have to deal with that,

02:53is part of life.

02:54And that has nothing to do with,

02:56if you had more iman,

02:57you wouldn't have these problems.

02:59As a matter of fact,

03:00people assume the higher your iman,

03:02the problems are going to go away.

03:03No, it doesn't work that way.

03:05Allah created us and He put us inside of a storm.

03:08Imagine a storm in the ocean,

03:10you're in a storm.

03:11And the waves are turbulent,

03:13and you've got your little boat, etc.

03:14And you're constantly worried about sinking.

03:17And you're worried about those

03:18who are sinking next to you.

03:20What does the faith do?

03:21It gives you the strength,

03:23and it gives you the ability

03:25to go through the storm,

03:26to navigate the storm.

03:28It doesn't mean you don't get wet.

03:31It doesn't mean sometimes

03:32the boat almost doesn't tip over.

03:34But you now have the ability

03:36to go through it and survive the storm.

03:38You see, that's the purpose of our faith,

03:40is not to get rid of the problem,

03:42but to actually strengthen us

03:43so we can go through the problem.
