00:06this about two hours before kickoff you saw a lot of people jumping on laying

00:10the numbers when it came to Bowling Green so there's a lot of happy football

00:13fans out there aside from just really good football today but Penn State kind

00:17of sitting in that eighth place spot when it comes to the national

00:20championship odds you saw them have a great performance last week come out

00:25roaring completely dominant you saw them a little shaky versus this Bowling Green

00:28team today let's play a game overreact or don't react quite yet to Penn State's

00:33performances over these last two weeks and them sitting right at eighth spot in

00:36the national championship conversation I think I think it's spot-on they should

00:41be a single digits they're one of the top 10 teams in the nation but I tell

00:44you what if you're covering 35 and a half you certainly got to make a better

00:49job of it going against the Falcons here but for Penn State I think they'll hold

00:52on to a top 10 spot maybe losing a bit of confidence here through week two but

00:57again it's week two we're still trying to figure things out we've got some new

01:00faces in new places so they're a top 10 team in the nation at that eighth spot I

01:05think that's pretty sharp and then speaking of sharp performances you've

01:10got Avery Johnson he was Mr. Gatorade he's Mr. a lot of things he's got a

01:13great hair ahead going on I can tell you that but slow start for Kansas State

01:17today versus Tulane Tulane was all over them defensively offensively and then

01:21they make this massive comeback to pull off the victory but this is what this

01:24team is about Kansas State is known for having the ability to rally they've got

01:28a big competition coming at them next week but what did you think of this

01:31matchup and Avery Johnson's performance I thought Kansas State showed a lot of

01:36moxie a lot of grit we saw with a strong second half performance there both sides

01:41of the ball was just enough to get it done for Tulane a couple of costly

01:45mistakes late in this one that they're gonna look back on it really true so I

01:49thought it was a big performance it showed a bit of character probably

01:52lacked a bit of polish but it was the standout for me it was complimentary

01:55football and that's what you need if you want to make a goal of this thing going

01:59through while the next couple of months though so for 17 in the nation Kansas

02:02State I thought was pretty impressive yeah you want to see that kind of grit

02:05like you said it's still early but it makes for great football Avery Johnson

02:08wrapped up the day with right at 181 passing yards two tutties didn't use his

02:13legs as much as everyone thought but 40 rushing yards is not bad as I mentioned

02:18though we still have a couple other upsets to chat about we have some other

02:22games to break down we got championship odds to see where the value may lie
