00:06michigan hosting third ranked texas and this line has been all over the place it opened in the early

00:13summer months at just three and a half in favor of the longhorns that should cause some attention

00:24after a so-so week number one performance for the maize and blue against fresno state and texas

00:31thoroughly dominating and shutting out colorado state this line has ballooned north of a touchdown

00:36early this morning on game day saturday a seven and a half point spread has worked back slightly

00:42to the maize and blue now under a touchdown a six and a half point spread in favor of the longhorns

00:47yeah and it's a contrast in styles and we're seeing now more and more movement coming in on

00:51on the under right now it opened in the off season around 44 and a half we're seeing 41

00:56and a half respectively and to your point quin yours and texas want to push tempo in terms of

01:02this matchup they put up a 52 spot against colorado state quin yours was amazing 260 yards

01:27work down the field they got the critical turnovers but that rushing attack with donovan edwards and

01:32mullings needs to be better tonight to keep texas off the sidelines we'll see if they could do it

01:37speaking of just quick numbers there you mentioned the fact that we've gone from seven and a half to

01:42six and a half looking like that primary number some sevens are certainly still out there you

01:46could buy up that hook if you want i think that's going to be interesting to see where that number

01:50finishes up kelil mullings has a higher rushing yards prop donovan edwards heading into this

01:55football game mullings is talented donovan edwards was one of the primary stars in all of college

02:00football i know it might sound silly to some there's a reason he's on the cover of that video

02:04game with travis hunter and quinn ewers who's playing in this game for michigan the rush attack

02:10has to be better i think it will be better and we can get into who's going to win and lose this

02:16game look i really like michigan i've liked michigan heading into this season you guys know

02:19i played a national title ticket here some of that was you know you have to project schedules i think

02:24that i thought they could win this football game against texas but for michigan if they're going

02:29to run the ball a ton and i think they will run the ball a ton it's hard to create enough separation

02:36to cover this number now of a touchdown plus call it they're going to run the ball here time in and

02:44time out against texas let's just do the math from a numbers perspective 41 and a half is the total

02:50dropping from where it was when these numbers came out at 44 and a hook if texas is going to cover

02:56by a touchdown and now dropping under a td is very important as well they have to dominate

03:03michigan and the wolverines cannot do much offensively kev you love to do your spread math

03:08so i go back to you quickly just on the numbers themselves from a handicapping perspective

03:12around that touchdown important but even when the longhorns opened up as a three and a half

03:18point favorite to see this even flirt with a touchdown as the longhorns are the road favorite

03:28based on week one and a one game sample size is it an overreaction or does it feel fair i think

03:34it's a massive overreaction here look michigan plus seven and a half is probably my single best

03:39bet on this slate here today it's between that and some props from a side perspective it's my

03:43favorite i would be on michigan heading into today's show at four or better with not much

03:49hesitation so for anybody who say hey would you bet it under the seven and a half yes you won't

03:55always get the best number but let's do some some spread math let's just move some home fields

04:00around here you can always debate what home field advantage is worth i think michigan's home field

04:04advantage is one of the best in college football if you're willing to call that three and a half

04:08points that means if this game was being played in texas you'd be looking at a near two touchdown

04:13line it suggests not only that michigan is nowhere near contender level playoff level

04:20it says that texas is one of the two or three best teams in college football i don't agree with

04:25that i think they i still believe the players that they lost the specific type of players

04:31xavier worthy ad mitchell jonathan brooks and then on the defensive side in swift and and murphy i

04:39just do not think that texas year over year is as good so i love michigan in this spot here i cannot

04:46believe i still never believed we were going to get a type of number of seven seven and a half i

04:51liked it at three and a half but it is prevalent on donovan edwards and mullings having success on

04:56the ground last week they averaged 4.4 yards per carry from the quarterback perspective though

05:01there is concerns right quinn yours is single-handedly the best quarterback on the field

05:06alex orgy and warren struggled with consistency last week you saw them struggle in regards to

05:11big passes over the top couldn't maintain drives in regards to that they struggled in regards to

05:16third down situation so if texas does start fast and take donovan edwards and the rushing attack

05:22out of the equation that's why i think you're seeing seven seven and a half now it's all

05:28prevalent on them starting fast and getting michigan out of their game plan but that's

05:32easier said than done against wink martindale's defense
