The Commercial Crimes case recorded a loss of RM1.6 billion from January to September.

The Director of the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department of Bukit Aman, Ramli Mahmoud Yusof, said

it was 82 cases a day with a daily loss of RM6.8 million.

Ramli said that investment is one of the categories of fraud in the chain, noting the amount of concern.

He said that throughout January to August, a total of 3,863 investment fraud cases were recorded,

resulting in a loss of RM4.8 billion.

According to him, the latest case was reported on September 4 by a 49-year-old man

who claimed to have been cheated of RM4.6 million by an investment syndicate.

Meanwhile, Ramli said that the police identified 16 main mediums of communication used in investment fraud.
