Eric Roberts chats with THR alongside dance partner Britt Stewart at the 'Dancing With the Stars' press line and reveals why now was the perfect time to join the cast.

00:00How does it feel to be a part of this season and what made you want to be a part of it?

00:04Nineteen years ago they offered it to me. I was the first person they offered the show to and I couldn't do it.

00:10So here we are in a repeat.

00:12Britt, how would you describe the process of working with Eric so far?

00:17Be kind.

00:18I will be nice, I promise. I mean, we've really only had two days of rehearsal.

00:22So our journey is just beginning, but already I can see that he really wants to be here.

00:29He's dedicated and committed to the process of Dancing with the Stars and that's all I can ask for in a partner.

00:34How would you describe your dancing skills on a scale of one to ten?

00:38Non-existent.

00:40Non-existent. And I love it.

00:44I would give you a little bit more.

00:48We'll give you a little bit more. We'll have to see the season premiere to see how it actually pans out.

00:53But I wanted to ask if there was any advice that you gave to Eric about being a part of this entire experience?

00:59No. I can answer that question.

01:06Is there any song or artist that you'd want to hopefully dance to this season?

01:13There's an artist named Keaton Simons. He's my favorite singing, songwriting guitar player.

01:18He's got a song called Unstoppable and a song called The Medicine. My two favorite songs.
