Selangor and Kedah aim to improve infrastructure development through collaboration

Kedah and Selangor Mentris Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Selangor Utility Corridor (Kusel) and Utiliti Infra Darul Aman (UiDA) on Tuesday (Sept 3). 00:00Today, we are visited by the KEDAH delegation, led by Yama Abu Hammad, the KEDAH's Chief Minister.

00:09The purpose of the visit is to share information and experience between KUSEL and UIDA.

00:18KUSEL and UIDA both carry out tasks for the corridor utility or database utility for Negi Selangor and Negi KEDAH.

00:28Alhamdulillah, we have been formed in early 2020 and UIDA has just been established for more than a year.

00:35So it is necessary to have this sharing between the two.

00:39Could you elaborate a little on what you said earlier about the need for KEDAH Selangor

00:45not only to improve Negi KEDAH and Selangor, but KEDAH Selangor due to the utility needs to give an impression to Negi Negeri?

00:53Yes, because there are several issues that we face in Negi Negeri.

00:57The first is related to development and development planning.

01:02Development planning for each country is faced with the same issue, which is the issue of utility management.

01:08And finally, we are faced with a large cost of development.

01:11So if our experience in Selangor, the development of infrastructure sometimes increases almost five or six times,

01:18maybe ten times, due to the absence of utility plans.

01:22So that is the experience that we have accumulated.

01:25And in fact, Negi Selangor is not the first or the only one.

01:28If we look at Perak, Johor, Melaka, and Pahang,

01:36but the experience in Selangor is more complicated because we have areas that are already built.

01:43The second, what I said earlier, it is also an additional value to the country to increase the results.

01:50Because if not, our results will only depend on the land.

01:54Every development of the land will yield results.

01:57But that is an extra cost.
