00:00Malaysia Airlines confirmed that a solebound flight made a precautionary return to Kuala
00:08Lumpur this morning shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue with the hydraulic system.
00:14In a statement, the national carrier said Flight MH66 landed safely at KLIA at 1.30 a.m. local
00:21time today. It also emphasized that the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew
00:27remained their highest priority. Earlier this morning, it was reported that MH66 was expected
00:33to depart at 11.30 p.m. but only took off at 12.01 a.m. According to Flightradar24,
00:41the flight was diverted back to Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia Airlines subsequently cancelled its
00:46Flight MH67 from Seoul, South Korea, bound for Kuala Lumpur today. The carrier went on to say
00:53that all passengers on board Flight MH66 and MH67 were provided with accommodation,
00:58and the former has been rescheduled to depart from Kuala Lumpur at 8 p.m. local time.
