Paralympic Fans Arrive in Paris Early for the Opening Ceremony Organizers Say to be 'Spectacular'

Dozens of people arrived early at the Place de la Concorde in Paris on Wednesday ahead of the Paralympic Games opening ceremony that organizers promise will be "spectacular."

00:00Having an event like the Paralympics, it definitely highlights and puts, you know, people's,

00:09what sometimes is perceived as a disability, it puts their abilities on stage, on the worldwide

00:14stage.

00:15And so it's nice to see people with differences, you know, celebrated in such a broad way.

00:22We already went to the Olympic Games, to the Stade de France, to see the athletics, and

00:29we had booked the tickets at the last minute.

00:31And now, what we're waiting for is for as many people as for the Olympic Games, because

00:36we find that the Paralympic athletes have even more merit than the athletes, well,

00:42the others too, but more.

00:43I'm going to be watching the ceremony, but also joining several other games, and cheer

00:48them up for their example as athletes, as people, so I'm very, very excited about,

00:57and I hope that it's going to be becoming more and more popular.
