00:00Today is the feast of St. Augustine, the great doctor of the Church, the man who went through

00:20a tremendous conversion in his life to become a great saint, the son of St. Monica. In the

00:27name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you. We acknowledge

00:33our sins, but more importantly, the compassion, the mercy, and the love of God. Lord, have

00:39mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive

00:46us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting. Let us pray. Renew in your

00:55Church, we pray, O Lord, the spirit with which you endowed your bishop, St. Augustine,

01:01that filled with the same spirit, we may thirst for you, the sole font of true wisdom, and

01:07seek you, the author of heavenly love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives

01:13and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

01:21A reading from the first letter of St. John. My dear people, let us love one another. Since

01:27love comes from God, and everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God, anyone who

01:34fails to love can never have known God, because God is love. God's love for us was revealed

01:41when God sent His Son, His only Son, so that we could have life through Him. This is the

01:49love I meant, not our love for God, but God's love for us, when He sent His Son to be the

01:55sacrifice that takes our sins away. My dear people, since God has loved us so much, we

02:03too should love one another. No one has ever seen God, but as long as we love one another,

02:09God will live in us, and His love will be complete in us. We have known that we are

02:15living in Him, and He is living in us, because He lets us share His Spirit. We ourselves

02:22saw and we testify that the Son, the Father, sent His Son as Savior of the world. If anyone

02:29acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them, and they in God. We ourselves

02:36have known and put our faith in God's love towards ourselves. God is love, and anyone

02:43who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them.

02:50The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Lord, teach me your decrees. Lord, teach me your

02:57decrees. How shall the young remain sinless by obeying your word? I have sought you with

03:04all my heart. Let me not stray from your commands. Lord, teach me your decrees. I treasure your

03:49The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew. Glory to you,

03:56O Lord. Jesus said to his disciples, You must not allow yourselves to be called Rabbis,

04:03since you have only one Master, and you are all brothers and sisters. You must call no

04:08one on earth your Father, since you have only one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor must you

04:15allow yourselves to be called Teachers, for you have only one Teacher, the Christ. The

04:21greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and

04:41Indeed, it is everything we have comes from God, and any type of pretense is foolishness.

04:50Saint Augustine was a great wise man who tried everything before his conversion

04:56and then gave his whole life to God, and recognized indeed the wisdom, the true wisdom

05:01that comes from God. He had searched for it everywhere, and in the end discovered that

05:07it's God's love that sustains him. He was sidetracked in so many ways before his conversion,

05:13but he knew that wisdom that comes from God, a great model for us that we can let go of

05:20those things that distract us, and say, yes, amen to our God. Your will be done.

05:29Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have this bread to offer,

05:34which earth has given you and hence have made. It will become for us the bread of life.

05:40Blessed be God forever.

06:23Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,

06:28our Almighty Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at our hands,

06:32for the praise and glory of God's name, for our good and the good of God's holy church.

06:40Celebrating the memorial of our salvation, we humbly beseech you,

06:43have mercy, O Lord, that the sacrament of your loving-kindness may be for us

06:48the sign of unity and the bond of charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

09:04The mystery of faith. We proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection

09:10until you come again.

09:21Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you,

10:28merit to be co-heirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.

10:38Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, Almighty Father,

10:42in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours forever and ever. Amen.

10:51At the Saviour's command, and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,

10:56Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth

11:03as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive

11:10those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

11:23help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin, and safe from all distress, as we await the

11:29blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory

11:36are yours, now and forever. Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles, Peace I leave you,

11:43my peace I give you, look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church, and graciously grant

11:48her peace and unity, in accordance with your will, who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

13:18Let us pray. May partaking of Christ's table sanctify us with prayer, O Lord, that by being

13:25made members of his body, we may become what we have received. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

13:32The Lord be with you, and may the peace and the blessing of the Father, and of the Son,

13:37and of the Holy Spirit come upon you, and remain always with you.
