A cheerleader left paralysed after being hit by a drunk driver has told how she lives life to full - despite having both legs amputated.
Inspirational Sarah Frei was just 17 when Dustin Wesley Andersen, 45, ploughed into the car she was travelling in head on at 70mph, leaving her instantly paralysed from the waist down.
After two months in hospital and 20 operations, Sarah had both her legs amputated. Horrific pictures show her in a hospital bed hooked up to numerous drips and wires.
But a year later, brave Sarah returned to cheerleading, completed her studies and now studying elementary education at Utah State University.
Now four years on, Sarah has travelled around Europe and regularly takes part in adrenalin-filled activities such as surfing, rock climbing and swimming.
