00:06Joey Votto officially calls it a career and what a stellar one

00:10it was. Here's the career resume for one of the greats to do it

00:14for the Reds. 17 seasons, a six-time Major League Baseball

00:18All-Star, the 2010 National League MVP, and as you see

00:22there, 356 career home runs. It is difficult, Craig to

00:27all riders necessary to get into Cooperstown, but when all is said

00:31and done, is Joey Votto going to be in the Hall of Fame?

00:35Yeah, Joey Votto is 100% going to be in the Hall of Fame. The only

00:39thing that we don't know is will he get in, Ben, on the first ballot

00:43and I believe he will get in on the first ballot. And again,

00:47nothing against Joe Maurer at all, okay? But

00:51I mean, if we're putting these two players up against each other and you had to

00:55pick one, who would you take? It would be Votto, for me, all day long.

00:59Look, in this day and age where on base percentage means a lot, he's there. Hit a lot of home runs,

01:03drove in a lot of runs. If batting average is your thing, I mean, take a look

01:07at Votto's last three years. They were horrific. He still ended up with a batting average

01:11of .296 lifetime. There's nothing to talk about. He's a guaranteed

01:15Hall of Famer. I think he's a first ballot Hall of Famer, but

01:19others will have to make that decision. My guess is, Ben, and again, remember, he didn't play a Major League game

01:23so he doesn't have to wait five years. He has to wait four years and I believe in four years

01:27he'll get somewhere between 77 to 80% and get in on the

01:31first try. I believe he'll be in there.
