00:00right we'll move on from the action on the park to John's escapade off it to
00:06East mains ahead of this sort of transfer window shut and we're still a
00:11wee bit away from it but at this time this is probably the final point for
00:15clubs to, including Hibbs, to do their business in a reasonably calm and
00:19rational manner so you were speaking to David Gray what was he, obviously as well
00:24you can check out John's written pieces from his conversation with David Gray
00:29on the website but just what were some of the main newsy headlines from from
00:34your chat with him that you took away? I think he would genuinely quite like
00:40another central defender in so I think that's where the Owen Bevan thing
00:43comes in. The rest of it he's fairly relaxed on in terms of I think if you're
00:48a head coach or a manager whatever you want to call it you have to be a little
00:53bit philosophical about it because there could be a lot of things out of you with your
00:55control, bids that come in, stuff that doesn't get done, stuff that does get
00:59done so I'll be pushing for additions. I didn't get, you know, there was
01:06nothing hugely revelatory from just sitting down with him obviously I chatted to
01:11other folk on the phone and here there and everywhere I think there's been a
01:15lot of activity around the fringes at Hibbs about signings, not signings and
01:22not Kevin Nisbet, I don't know how that one got locked in there I don't think
01:27there's any future in them pursuing that, I don't think they're interested in that
01:32yeah I think there's still again same with the Rocky Bashiri interest I'm not
01:37sure they would encourage that or whether there was anything concrete I
01:41don't get the impression was any bidding or anything going on there it's this
01:44weird time of the season and you know you stay around it long enough you know
01:49that there's varying degrees of, not saying things aren't correct or accurate
01:56or they're false but there's a degree of strength to things and there is, yeah
02:01so clubs are genuinely maybe keeping an eye on this player or would be
02:05interested but it might be would be interested if A, B and C happens and then
02:11A and C happen, B doesn't and they can't follow up their interest or they won't
02:14follow up their interest. I think Grey's quite relaxed when we were just chatting
02:18about it as well the fact that clubs will be looking at Hibbs and saying well
02:23he's there's a lot of turnover there maybe I'll try and get him so there
02:27might be some more bids coming in for for players who aren't gonna get a lot
02:32of game time because people just put one and one together and figure it out don't
02:35they go well if he's brought in four midfielders or three strikers or two
02:39more central defenders and then he's not gonna be playing. I thought it was
02:43interesting this week they got Riley Harbaugh down to AFC Wimbledon and you
02:49would expect more of that you would expect perhaps you know Noah and Kenna
02:53and one or two others to shift out before the deadline but it could go
03:00right to the final day just like the incomings as well isn't it because there's
03:03so many moving parts involved in any transfer but especially if you're in
03:07that they're almost in that middleweight zone aren't they where the big teams are
03:11doing loads of stuff and you may pick up something there but there's a lot of
03:14teams underneath who might want to pick up your younger players or guys who
03:17haven't got the game time. Interesting week or so ahead.
