00:14In the midst of rumours that there is an impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte,

00:20Senate President Francis Escudero has a message to his fellow members of the Senate.

00:25I cannot comment on that.

00:27And I urge my fellow members of the Senate not to comment on any story, gossip, or impeachment.

00:36Because, according to the law, it is possible that it will reach the Senate.

00:40And it is not good to give priority to any member of the Senate

00:44on any discussion or impeachment that might reach our tables.

00:49Although the impeachment is starting in the House of Representatives,

00:52but if you can remember, the Senators will be the Senator-Judge if the complaint reaches them.

00:59But until now, some congressmen have denied that there is no impeachment plot

01:05against Vice President Duterte in the House of Representatives.

01:08This has been said many times that there is no truth to it.

01:13I hope this rumour mongering will stop.

01:17I personally can categorically say that there is no such thing.

01:23In the few hours and days that I was googling here in Congress, I did not hear that.

01:31That is how public service is.

01:34You have friends who are true friends, but you also have friends who want action.

01:41Sometimes, these actions make them more important.

01:45These are the things that our Vice President should be worried about.

01:51It is hard to report, but there is no basis.

01:55Until now, there is no impeachment against Vice President Duterte.

01:59And there are still people who want to talk to him.
