Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
00:07
Let's start with our latest satellite image.
00:10
Currently, we are being watched by a low-pressure area that was entered by the Philippine Air
00:15
Responsibility at 8 p.m. last night.
00:17
Although we can see that it is far from our country.
00:20
As of 3 a.m., it was last seen at a distance of 1,030 kilometers east-northeast of the extreme northern zone.
00:27
And as we can see in the satellite image, the clouds that brought this low-pressure area are not good.
00:32
So, the chance that this will be a typhoon is low.
00:36
And it is far from our country, so we do not expect a direct effect on any part of our continent.
00:42
Meanwhile, what is still affecting other parts of our country is the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat
00:50
that is affecting the northern zone, particularly the extreme northern zone area.
00:55
Although if we can see here in the satellite image, we can see some clouds,
00:59
but most likely, these clouds will not last long.
01:02
So, most likely, when the afternoon comes, the weather will be clear.
01:06
And when the afternoon or night comes, there are chances of localized thunderstorms.
01:11
So, for the rest of the country, including Metro Manila,
01:14
let's still expect hot weather or hot weather today.
01:18
The chances of sudden or short-term rainfall are just not there.
01:24
And for the next few days, at the very least, for the next two to three days,
01:27
we are monitoring this low-pressure area.
01:29
We do not expect it to affect any part of our country.
01:34
And we expect that until the upcoming weekend,
01:37
the hot weather will continue in a large part of our continent,
01:41
except for the chances of localized thunderstorms that are more often experienced in the afternoon or night.
01:48
So, the weather will be different today.
01:51
Here in the Luzon, as we saw in the satellite image earlier,
01:54
although we can see some clouds,
01:56
we do not expect that these clouds that we saw earlier will last long.
02:01
So, when the afternoon comes, we still expect hot weather
02:04
and the chances of localized thunderstorms will still be possible when it comes to the afternoon or night.
02:12
So, during severe thunderstorms, there is a possibility that we will experience heavy rainfall.
02:16
So, it is better to wear raincoats.
02:21
As for the temperature in the neighboring cities here in Luzon,
02:25
for Lawag, it will be between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:28
For Baguio, it will be between 18 to 25 degrees.
02:32
For Metro Manila, the temperature will be between 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:37
We also expect maximum temperatures here in Togigaraw.
02:42
For Legazpi, it is possible to reach 34 degrees Celsius.
02:45
And for Tagaytay, the temperature range will range from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:53
We also expect that the weather will be the same today in most parts of our country.
02:58
Generally, we expect fair weather conditions.
03:00
The chances of sudden or quick rainfall of localized thunderstorms are different.
03:06
These thunderstorms are possible to last for 15 minutes to 2 hours.
03:12
As for the temperature range in the neighboring cities here in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
03:19
our maximum temperatures in Kalayaan Island will reach 32 degrees Celsius.
03:23
33 degrees for Puerto Princesa.
03:26
For Iloilo, it will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:31
26 to 32 degrees Celsius for Metro Cebu.
03:34
For Tacloban, it will be 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:38
26 to 32.
03:39
For Cagayan de Oro, it will reach 34 degrees Celsius for Metro Davao.
03:44
And maximum temperatures for Zamboanga will reach 33 degrees Celsius.
03:50
As for the condition of our oceans,
03:52
we do not have any gale warnings for now.
03:54
The waves that we will experience in our oceans are in the middle to middle of the ocean.
03:58
That is why our fellow countrymen are far away,
04:01
especially those who have small vehicles for the sea.
