00:00
Good morning, well it's going to be feeling warmer out there today with plenty of sunny
00:05
spells on offer and then a bit of a breakdown for some of us on Monday. But having a look
00:10
at the bigger picture and things will be settled as we've got this area of higher pressure
00:14
moving across the UK and that will help draw up some hot and humid air with the winds coming
00:21
up from the south and southeast. So as we go through Sunday and more so into Monday
00:26
it could get hot, especially across parts of southern England and central England too.
00:33
But you'll notice low pressure out towards the west with this cold front and where this
00:37
interacts we could see some heavy and thundery downpours for some of us, especially Northern
00:42
Ireland and parts of Western Scotland. But back to this morning, quite a cloudy, murky,
00:49
gloomy start across some southern areas of England with a fair bit of cloud. That should
00:55
start breaking up into the afternoon but elsewhere across northern parts of England, Northern
01:01
Ireland and Scotland we'll see plenty of sunshine here and the showers that we saw yesterday
01:06
across Scotland should start fading away now with the higher pressure becoming more established.
01:12
And like I said, it is going to be feeling warm out there for many of us across Scotland
01:17
and Northern England up to 21, possibly 22 degrees and hot and humid across the south.
01:24
We could see temperatures rising at 27, possibly even 29 degrees.
01:31
Now as we go through Sunday evening and overnight, we'll start to see a breeze picking up across
01:35
the south coast and into western parts as well. And we'll see some showers breaking
01:40
out as well that could bring the risk of some lightning too. And then we have this area
01:45
of low pressure across the west and we'll see some thundery outbreaks of rain, especially
01:50
across parts of Northern Ireland and that will start pushing its way north and eastwards.
01:56
Thundery with frequent lightning and some strong and gusty winds in this as well.
02:03
As for the temperatures overnight though, it is going to be feeling warm out there.
02:07
We'll see temperatures rising up to around 18, possibly 19 or 20 degrees further towards
02:14
the south. So a muggy, uncomfortable night for sleeping for many of us as we start Monday
02:20
morning.
02:22
Now through Monday morning, we will see this band of heavy thundery, showery rain move
02:27
its way north and eastwards, affecting western parts of Scotland during rush hour. So do
02:32
take care here. There could be frequent lightning, some heavy and torrential downpours as well
02:37
and some strong and gusty winds that could cause some impacts. That then moves its way
02:42
north and eastwards and for most of us, we should get away with a largely dry afternoon.
02:48
There could still be the odd hit and miss thunderstorm, but most of us, like I said,
02:54
should stay largely dry.
02:57
As for temperatures then, once that band moves through across the north, highs are feeling
03:01
fresher here with highs of 20 degrees. But further towards the south, the peak of the
03:07
heat is going to be Monday and we could see temperatures up to 30, possibly even 33 degrees.
03:14
So do take care out there as it is going to be feeling hot.
03:19
Now as we go through Tuesday and Wednesday, it will be feeling fresher and more changeable.
03:24
But for more details on that, make sure to hit subscribe on YouTube so you don't miss
03:29
an update and I'll catch you soon. Bye bye.
