Pioneer Insurance launches Electric Vehicle Care product

Pioneer Insurance has tapped into eco-friendly insurance by launching an Electric Vehicle (EV) Insurance product.

00:00All those things, the issue of making sure that our environment is not going down in terms of the way it should be,

00:11so that's why we are talking of even planting trees to make sure that there is clean air, there is shade,

00:20we also have food on our table because we are going to make sure that we are conserving our water cutting areas and all that.

00:29It starts by planting a tree, as it has been said, every birthday make sure you plant a tree.

00:35I'm sure if I had started earlier, I wouldn't tell you the number that I would have planted by now,

00:41because automatically you know my age, but I would have planted many and I would get old as well.

00:48Then we are also very adaptive to the fast changing environment.

00:56You know, what they say is that the only constant thing is change, nothing is constant apart from change.

01:04So you have to keep on changing and the way things are changing even in the global landscape, we have to check with them.

01:12The issue of EV is here. If you remember the story of Kona, which is no longer anywhere,

01:21because it never responded to the environment. If you remember the story of Blackberry and Nokia,

01:26for those who had the very first mobile phones, the Nokia, it disappeared at a point in the market

01:33and until recently it started coming back after it adopted Android.

01:38So those are some of the things that we need to do, even us in terms of products,

01:43we have to align ourselves with the changes that are happening so that we can be sustainable

01:48when it comes to the issue of responding to the environment. We are not kicked out.

01:55So the other thing that we have done in line with that is that we have come up with a special product,

02:03which is focusing on electric vehicles because of their unique nature.

02:12What is the major difference between an electric vehicle and the normal cars?

04:31And one thing I also have to say is we have four different types of electric vehicles.

04:43And the first kind of a car is the fuel cell electric vehicle.

06:38And in traditional insurance, I know when I've had this discussion with some of you,

06:44and I see your faces, and you have had a beautiful, and sometimes not so beautiful,

06:50when you come and say, you know, I bought my battery last week,

06:53and I tell you, you see the policy says, contribution to the 2%

06:59and we noted that discussion.
