00:00If you're like me and you enjoy the Olympic fanfare more than the matches themselves then
00:14this right here is the place to be.
00:16I'm currently standing at the Park of Champions, I had to wait for about one hour outside in
00:20the line to be able to make it inside.
00:22There are multiple people that have shown up, although the capacity for this particular
00:27event is only 13,000.
00:29It's going to be on for the next two weeks approximately, so if you're in Paris for the
00:32Olympics then you should definitely come here.
00:34It's where all the athletes from different countries who've won medals already are going
00:38to be coming in.
00:39They're going to be showcasing their medals.
00:41As far as India is concerned, of course, Manu Bhakar, we're expecting to see inside.
00:46All the athletes, in fact, are going to be walking a ramp, they're going to be showcasing
00:49the medals that they've been able to win so far and Manu Bhakar, like I said, is somebody
00:54that our eyes are going to be on inside the stadium.
00:57Other than that, of course, there's a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower right behind me,
01:01I'm sure you can see it.
01:02There's multiple people here, they're queuing up for different drinks, they're also queuing
01:08up for some food.
01:09They're here, of course, to enjoy the Olympics together, to enjoy the spirit of the Olympics
01:14together and we've come inside just to be able to show you what the Park of Champions
01:20for the Olympics 2024 in Paris is like.
01:24So let's go in and let's show you what the craze and the fanfare is all about.
01:42And there we have it, that is what the Park of Champions looks like.
01:48That right there in the middle is the ramp walk on which all the athletes are going to
01:52be walking.
01:53Also, as you can see, the stadium is jam-packed.
01:56It opened only about 20 minutes ago and in 20 minutes it has become absolutely full and
02:02wait for it, there's going to be a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower.
02:06There we go.
02:18Alright, so we've shown you what it was like inside.
02:21The energy, of course, was infectious.
02:23There were lots of medalists that came in.
02:25Unfortunately, we could not see the Indian medalist because she was not there on the
02:31ramp.
02:32However, it was really hot at the beginning.
02:35The sun has sort of started to go down now.
02:37As you can see, people are just trying to cool themselves off.
02:47Other than that, let's go around now.
02:49Let's try and talk to some of the fans that have come here and let's ask them what it's
02:54like for them to be here at the Paris 2024.
02:57We both like sports and we really like volleyball too, so yeah, we're very excited about it.
03:02It's going to be an USA against Germany match, so we're very excited.
03:06It's a really nice experience and the good part of it is that we live in Germany, so
03:10we just watched the Euro Cup and now we're watching the Olympic Games, so we can see
03:14the two countries.
03:15I really like the organization and how it's a city full of people from internationals.
03:21For sure, it's a really nice city to visit, to go around, and we have the plus of the
03:26Olympic Games.
03:27It's amazing, actually.
03:29I support a couple of athletes from the Ecuador team.
03:33As a background, I used to be an athlete and I know personally three people that are on
03:39the national team.
03:40What's your name?
03:42Sorry, that's in German.
03:44I will definitely support Germany tomorrow, but yeah, of course, Ecuador is my hometown.
03:50I'm feeling great because this is an awesome experience for us.
03:53I like so much this experience because it's so beautiful to see a lot of people from different
03:59countries.
04:00I am very happy to visit it once in my life and I'm here with my mom and my sister and
04:05we are here since yesterday, but we really enjoy it so far because it's really good organization
04:12and stuff, and also the atmosphere is really great.
04:16I think it's a good idea to do something like this because the contact with the champions
04:21is also something special.
04:23So that is what a day at the Park of Champions looks like.
04:25We hope you enjoyed watching this as much as we enjoyed filming it for you.
04:29I'm Parvati Bhanot reporting for One India from Paris.
