00:00Mohamed Salah, what a fantastic Liverpool career. He was probably Liverpool's best Premier

00:10League player of all time. His stats have been fantastic. There were some question marks

00:17around last season but he still did produce some fantastic numbers. In terms of this season

00:24and a new manager, maybe a slot change in systems for him, whether it's going to be

00:30built around him or not. How much can Liverpool fans expect from Mohamed Salah? Maybe even

00:38players putting him in their fantasy team as well. Will he be expected to get as many

00:42points this season?

00:44Mo Salah will certainly be expecting at least 20 goals this season and a half-full of assists

00:52because he's set his own standards. He's come back to pre-season in magnificent, impeccable

00:58shape as you would expect. He's 32 and I've got plenty of miles still left to go in me.

01:08I think maybe he needs to be managed a little bit better and that's just in terms of minutes

01:13because he has been so durable for Liverpool. He had two hamstring injuries last season

01:19and then when he came back from injury he never got going again. Maybe he just needs

01:27to think, I'm not a machine by the same token and I am 32 and maybe I do need a little bit

01:34more rotation. That might benefit him as well to be honest with you. Mo Salah, even if I

01:40sit out this game and I can score two the next game, then I'd be quite happy with that.

01:45I'll sit out playing a lesser team to start against Man City or Arsenal the next week

01:52and be in my absolute peak of my powers. I think you've just got to look at it rashly

01:55and although I've been to talk, Liverpool may be bringing in another right winger. Some

02:01fans would like to see that because there's not another natural replacement. But going

02:06into the season he'll be looking and thinking, I've hit 20 goals for every season I've been

02:12at Liverpool. That's my target again, especially if it is to be his last year at Anfield because

02:17he is into the final year of his contract. Obviously, Salah has talked in the past as

02:22being there and will he look and think, maybe now might be the time to bow out in this final

02:28campaign. But no, he'll be looking at it thinking, I'm still one of the top attackers in the

02:35Premier League and he'll be setting his sights on that golden boot without a doubt. It might

02:40be hard to bail him out in the mix but he'll definitely be hoping to hit the numbers as

02:46he used to.

02:47Staying in Liverpool, staying with the club, with all the transfer interests, how important

02:57would the Champions League have played to his decision? Maybe he will want to go far

03:03in that competition and possibly get his hands on that trophy one last time?

03:08Obviously, Liverpool need to be in the Champions League. It would have ached a few people not

03:14being in it. The Europa League ends up being a few different away days for fans etc. It

03:21was quite pleasant when Liverpool were in it. You thought, we'll go and win that but

03:26Liverpool need to be in the Champions League. As you say, the best players, one of the best

03:31teams and that's what Mo Salah is back to now. The Champions League, I think it might

03:37be difficult. You look at the rounds this season and think, what could they do? Barcelona

03:42might be strong and some other teams in there, Inter Milan could be very good. Of course,

03:48you're not even thinking about Manchester City. I think if Liverpool just have a decent

03:54run in the Champions League then a lot of people would be happy but it would be a tall

03:57order to win it.
