Ladies and gentlemen, may we now invite Yang Mohamad Dato' Sri to sign the plaque
00:03
marking the official opening of the IJM Cardiovascular Reduction Programme.
00:10
Dato' Sri, when will the IJM Cardiovascular Reduction Programme be held?
00:17
The IJM Cardiovascular Reduction Programme will only be held if it is approved by the government.
00:23
That would be a hurdle to overcome.
00:27
Along with my team, I will hold it this week.
00:34
Having done that, then we would really turn to my PUU, the Law Enforcement Officer, to see that it gets...
00:44
As soon as he could, we would...
00:48
Dato' DG would be reminded that we want to get it done.
00:54
Of course, as you very well know, there are outstanding issues of the graduates, the four graduates,
00:59
and also those four graduates who are not yet in their fourth year.
01:05
That also requires redressing or inclusion in their fourth year.
01:15
So we have to immediately get this going and into action.
01:21
But whatever it is, he is waiting for the State Council, which is coming.
01:26
The State Council is convening for eight days.
01:28
So, inshallah, pray and wish us well that we get it through in the State Council.
01:34
Of course, it's in this sitting.
01:38
I would be practical and honest about this.
01:48
My PUU immediately told me that she wants to get it done as soon as.
01:53
So I did not give any promise in this.
01:57
But that is something that we want to do as soon as possible.
02:04
That's as much as I could say.
02:06
As soon as we could get an idea of what the timeline would be, we will give a heads up to our media.
02:14
Last week in Parliament, you said that the Health Ministry is considering the National Health Fund for the funding of public healthcare services.
02:22
I just want to know, is there any update or discussion going on?
02:25
As I've told you in Parliament as well, there's a question coming prematurely
02:31
before the launching of our Health Financing Transformation by our Health Transformation Office.
02:38
So I would not be able to expound and articulate the entire Health Financing Transformation.
02:48
And the mention of the National Health Trust Fund would have to be just a mention
02:55
without me the opportunity to articulate and enumerate what the mechanics of doing it and establishing it.
03:06
But I think you surely would understand that I've got to present the entire thing of Health Financing Transformation
03:13
to get the wholesome, end-to-end kind of understanding of this.
03:19
But be that as it may, we already are engaging all important stakeholders like our Ministry of Finance,
03:28
MK2, Bank Nugara, the EPF, even the private sectors, even the bursas.
03:36
We have been engaging very intensely, making them understand where we're coming from,
03:44
that the National Health Trust Fund is actually beyond just what is from the consolidated fund or the tax sources.
03:57
Mobilising other sources of funding as well.
04:00
So that is as much as I could say.
04:03
That would be, at the end of the day, to pluck all the inefficient spending,
04:08
as I mentioned particularly on OOP, remember, out-of-pocket expenditure is high.
04:15
But beyond that as well, it's mobilising all the entire sources of funding for healthcare expenditure.
04:22
So be a little bit more patient for you to get the entire, I wouldn't say blueprint,
04:29
I'm talking about the whole idea, simply put, the whole idea.
04:34
It will come, very soon. Thank you.
