Are student fees too high?

We ask the people of Newport whether student fees are putting people off university, and whether they’d like to see it brought down or scrapped completely.

00:13paying off a debt of 50,000 pounds now is that more money or is that less money I don't know.

00:17Yes that is crazy I know my daughter-in-law she went to university you know many years ago

00:22so she might be one of those but I'm not sure it's as much as that but again yeah I mean

00:27I'm going to sort of think again in the future if they're in that much debt when they leave

00:30universities you know that's it's a lot of money isn't it that's a lot of money so again

00:36yeah something else has to be looked at too. I think it's all going to be looked you know

00:39looked into out the big pot eventually there's only so much money isn't it for everything so.

00:44The door needs to be broken it should be free you know I mean before I mean also it's like

00:55the dice is loaded against those who can't afford it.
