Having disabled the power source in the Lava Powerhouse, Sonic advances his way to the heart of the Veg-O-Fortress to collect the remaining Chaos Emeralds in record time and smash the machine responsible for turning the animals into robots.
Without the stability provided by the Chaos Emeralds, the Veg-O-Fortress begins to self-destruct. Desperate to escape his failed creation, Robotnik flees in his spaceship high above the volcano. With the final Chaos Emeralds secured, Sonic confronts Robotnik in the final showdown to save Mobius once and for all!
