00:03Users in Melaysia will not be affected by an increase in the electric bill for July 1 to 31 this December

00:10under the non-equivalent cost-benefit mechanism.

00:14The Ministry of Energy Transformation and Water Transformation announced an electric bill

00:19for the use of electricity as much as 600 kilowatt-hours to 1,500 kilowatt-hours.

00:25The government also reduced the electric bill between 1% and 4% for non-domestic users

00:31using water operators, dams, low voltage, specific agricultural tariffs,

00:37road lights under local authorities and others.

00:41The steps as a government effort to maintain the stability of goods prices in the market

00:46while supporting efforts to boost investment in Malaysia.

00:50The government still provides an electric subsidy of 2.192 billion ringgit

00:56for electric users in Semenanjung for the period of July to December 2024

01:02while continuing the 40 ringgit electric rebate program for the poor category

01:07involving a deposit of 55 million ringgit.
