00:00The Office of the Ombudsman upholds the preventive suspension of Bamban Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and two other officials.
00:08In an order dated June 18, made public only on Tuesday, June 25,
00:13Ombudsman Samuel Martirez junxed the motion for reconsideration filed by Guo,
00:17Bamban Business Permit and Licensing Officer Edwin Ocampo, and Bamban Municipal Legal Officer Adin Siguilla.
00:24A preventive suspension is not a penalty but a, quote,
00:27"...preventive measure to ensure that the accused will not use their position to influence witnesses or tamper with records."
00:34Meantime, Guo and 17 others are now under the Bureau of Immigration's lookout bulletin.
00:40An immigration lookout monitors a subject's attempt to leave the country.
00:44It is not a sufficient prohibition for departure from the Philippines.
00:48Guo and 13 others currently face a qualified trafficking complaint over alleged ties to the raided Pogo in Tarlac.
