00:00Yeah, so I'm Paul Ryan. I live and work in Thirrall in the northern suburbs of the Illawarra.

00:07And one of my favourite subjects, my muse if you like, is the landscape of the northern

00:12Illawarra. The mountains meet the sea and between the two temperature changes it creates

00:19its own fascinating microclimate. Clouds form, they hover on top of the mountain, the sun

00:25shines through, hits different parts of the escarpment and it's ever-changing, very dynamic

00:30and really beautiful and inspirational place to paint.
