One of the Mustangs took this a bit too literally and asked Beau Champion if he was making a comeback in Sunday's game against Port City at Smithtown. Nonplussed, Champion said no, he hasn't played for nine seasons and has no intention of having a run anytime soon. On The Bench will appear on Facebook page from 4pm today.

00:04confusion on training on Thursday night. Yeah, it sure did. So one of our players

00:08come up and said, I think he thought I was going to take his spot, actually. He said,

00:12Uncle, I didn't know you were playing for us this week. I said, playing for us this week?

00:18I was like, I played nine years ago and I'm not playing ever again. I was like, what's this?

00:23He's like, look, he's like, it says you're the booming off the bench. There's a photo of you

00:27in a Mustangs jumper. I go, who wrote that article? I was going to click on the article,

00:35but when he clicked on it, he wasn't a subscriber. So I started thinking to myself,

00:41did I send Ruben my name accidentally? Or have I committed to something that I haven't?

00:45And then one of the other players said, nah, nah, you're going on a podcast tomorrow. I said,

00:50oh, that's right. I am too. On the bench, not off the bench.

00:55So yeah, it was a bit of fun at training last night.
