Lynn Chamberlain from Cats Protection Swale
Transcript
00:00Basically, I just wanted to do something a little bit more rewarding as I get older financially,
00:05I didn't need to work quite so much.
00:09And I love cats.
00:10So I looked on the website and I actually saw that there was a role vacant in the area
00:15for an admin team leader.
00:18So I did that role, but there wasn't, I'm going to say there's not, wasn't an awful
00:23lot to do.
00:24There is plenty to do, but I felt I had more time.
00:27So I then started helping the fundraisers on the stalls.
00:31And then I met our welfare team leader, Kim, who is just an absolutely amazing lady.
00:38You wouldn't believe who will go out in the middle of the night, trapping cats, rescuing
00:43cats.
00:44She is absolutely amazing.
00:45And I wanted to do something to help her.
00:47So I became a fosterer as well.
00:50We think there are people out there that could probably help us and also get a lot out of
00:54it because I've certainly got a lot out fostering a cat.
00:59When I became treasurer, I didn't have any interaction with cats or just paperwork.
01:04So yeah, it is very rewarding to look after a cat, nurse it to health and then see it
01:11adopted by a nice family.
