00:00Well it's a rare feeling for us England fans having a trophy to defend and here in Folkestone
00:04the Harbour Arm hosted 800 Lioness fans praying for another victory on the European stage.
00:10No one can deny it's been a tournament of narrow victories for the Lionesses, excluding
00:13a 6-1 thrashing of Wales, but did fans think that would be the case for the final?
00:182-1 England.
00:193-1 to England.
00:202-1 England.
00:212-1 England.
00:222-1 England.
00:232-1 England.
00:242-1 England.
00:252-1 England.
00:26Obviously.
00:27I reckon 3-1 England.
00:282-0 England.
00:294-1 James goals.
00:30Yeah I think it's going to be 1-0 to us, we're going to score in the first half, come
00:33with that confidence.
00:351-1 England.
00:37Kent's own Alessio Russo started up top as well as the sky darkened, but even when the
00:42weather turned wet, spirits certainly weren't dampened ahead of kick-off.
00:452-1 England.
00:47It looked like a promising start, but only 20 minutes in and Spain sent England 1-0 down.
00:55But people weren't letting it affect their mood, especially when Chloe Kelly came on just
00:59before the end of the first half.
01:002-1 England.
01:01How were you feeling at the half-time break?
01:022-1 England.
01:032-1 England.
01:04A bit disappointed, but still hopeful.
01:053-1 England.
01:06I know I'm not happy with the score right now.
01:09We're playing so well, but I just don't see it.
01:12And they were right to be hopeful when the Kentish hero Alessio Russo scored to keep the
01:20lionesses fighting, and the pressure lifted as cheers echoed around the harbour arm.
01:25Then it was extra time, and then on to penalties.
01:29And our first shot bounced off the keeper's gloves, and so the atmosphere turned tense.
01:33It was a back and forth that kept the harbour arm on their toes.
01:36Score, then save, cries of joy, and shouts of frustration rang in the audience's ears.
01:41But then, it was down to Chloe Kelly.
01:47Music blared out, plastic cups went flying, children and dogs were being held up, and
01:51there were hugs all around.
01:53England are deadly.
01:54Yes!
01:55Come on, lionesses!
01:56We brung it home again.
01:58Woo!
01:59I burst into tears.
02:00It was brilliant.
02:01I can't believe it.
02:02Back to back.
02:03Back to back.
02:04Yeah, back to back winning.
02:05Five major tournaments.
02:07She's made every final.
02:08The women's a legend.
02:09The women are glorious.
02:10What a time to be alive.
02:12Obviously, we've won.
02:13Was there ever any doubt?
02:14Yeah!
02:15No doubt.
02:16No doubt.
02:17No doubt.
02:18No doubt.
02:19I didn't say 2-1 to England.
02:20Yes.
02:21And we did it.
02:22Hannah Hadsden.
02:23Yeah.
02:24It actually feels like we were there.
02:27It feels so good.
02:28I can't even believe it was amazing.
02:31800 of us turned out and watched 120 minutes of patience, of pressure, and then of penalties.
02:39Never before as an English senior team won an international trophy back to back.
02:44Except now.
02:45The lionesses will be celebrating.
02:47The country will be celebrating.
02:48And I'm sure Kent will be celebrating as well.
